Poem 3

What purpose regression? A look back in time

A snapshot of feeling, a choice of new paths

Judge what we emoted, revisit the crime

A way to find healing or open old scars;

To consider errors and the pain we caused

To find absolution from those that don’t care

To restart the life that we simply have paused

Deal with remorse that we don’t want to share

What purpose regression? Let go the past

Nothing will change what has already gone

Just keep hold your memories; hold on fast

And be thankful each day that you see the dawn
