Were you looking when you found me

Broken pieces and shriveled heart

Did you see your own reflection

In my eyes at the very start

Could you see the little child

So lost and so completely alone

Inside a prison, mind so wild

Is that why you picked up the phone

You found me my friend,

And you saved me

I love you my friend

Can you hear me

Did you know that we’d be together

Two minds and two damaged souls

Did you think it would last forever

Would that be the way our life rolls

Did you know that you would leave

After the bloom everything ceases

I’ve had my eternity to grieve

Now someone has picked up the pieces

You found me my friend,

And you saved me

I love you my friend

Can you hear me

About widowbuddy

I'm learning about myself and about life every day. I write a blog on www.widowonline.com (You are not alone) for something to do and I write poetry because I enjoy it.
